Proposals

We imagine the capneo DAO to handle proposals in the following manner: any community member can submit project proposals to apply for grants from capneo DAO. Only the initiators and main contributors can submit funding proposals from the community and monitor the recommendations made. The initiators and main contributors do not vote on their proposals and hence are not influenced in their judgments.

In this suggested structure, any community member can become a main contributor by supporting the DAO in various ways, but most importantly by contributing to projects, working groups and the development of the capneo DAO. To become a main contributor and thus a trusted community member, certain development steps should be completed, which are unlocked through community votes and reputation. Each development step could give the respective member more responsibility, visibility in the community and operational tasks as well as tasks that need to be performed in relation to community decisions.

When proposing a project, all suggestions would have to fulfill three criteria: Firstly, they must address a sustainability issue (e.g. based on the sustainable development goals - SDGs). Secondly, they would also advance the cause of the financial inclusion of the local community. Thirdly, they would directly contribute to a noble cause or to local social impact. Proposals can come from anyone as long as they follow these rules and an initiator or the main contributor is the one to put them forward. This way, we empower in a fresh new way without excluding growth and impact.
